Fulham Reach
10 fully funded 7kW residential EV charging sockets installed at Fulham Reach.

Roam installed 10 fully funded 7kW EV charging sockets at Fulham Reach, giving residents convenient access to charging within this Berkeley Group development in West London.
The development
Fulham Reach is an award-winning riverside neighbourhood on the banks of the River Thames in West London.
The development combines modern apartments with landscaped gardens, a riverside promenade and a range of facilities for residents. It also benefits from managed underground parking, creating a natural opportunity to make EV charging part of the residential experience.
With more drivers switching to electric vehicles, convenient charging where people live is becoming an increasingly important consideration for apartment developments.
The project
Residents living in apartment buildings do not always have access to a private driveway or an individual electricity supply beside their parking space.
That means residential EV charging needs to work around the wider development.
At Fulham Reach, the aim was to provide convenient charging within the existing parking environment, giving residents an easier way to charge without relying entirely on public charging away from home.
The solution also needed to suit the way residents use the car park. Vehicles are typically parked for several hours, making charging speed, accessibility and ease of use important parts of the design.
The solution
Roam delivered a fully funded installation of 10 EV charging sockets at Fulham Reach, with each socket providing 7kW charging.
Under the fully funded model, Roam covered cost of the infrastructure and live chargers, removing the need for upfront investment from the development.
The chargers give residents access to charging where their vehicles are already parked. Instead of making a separate stop to recharge, drivers can plug in and allow their vehicle to charge around their normal routine.
The installation went live in October 2025.
Why 7kW charging suits residential parking
Residential charging is different from charging at a motorway service area or rapid hub.
At home, vehicles are usually parked for longer. This makes 7kW charging a practical choice, allowing residents to add range over several hours without need for implementing expensive faster chargers.
It is charging designed around dwell time.
Residents arrive, plug in and carry on with their day while their vehicle charges in the background.
Fully funded and fully managed
Installing the chargers is only one part of providing a reliable residential charging service.
Roam continues to control and manage the charging network as part of the fully funded model. This includes charger monitoring, maintenance, software, resident billing and 24/7 driver support.
Residents pay a competitive tariff for the electricity used during their charging session. Individual sessions are recorded through Roam’s charging platform, removing the need for the property team to manually divide charging costs between residents.
This creates a straightforward experience for residents while keeping the ongoing management burden away from the development team.
The result
Fulham Reach now has 10 dedicated EV charging sockets available within the development.
The installation gives residents a more convenient way to charge close to home and supports the development as demand for electric vehicles continues to grow.
It also demonstrates that residential charging does not always require a large-scale rollout from day one. The right number of chargers depends on the individual development, its parking arrangements and resident demand.
At Fulham Reach, the result is a focused charging installation designed around how residents already use the site.
What Fulham Reach shows property managers
Every residential development requires a different approach to EV charging.
The Fulham Reach installation highlights the value of:
- Locating charging where residents already park.
- Matching charger speed to residential dwell time.
- Choosing a solution based on the development’s requirements.
- Removing upfront investment through a fully funded model.
- Including ongoing management, billing and driver support.
- Making charging a convenient part of everyday life.
