Roam partners with David Lloyd Clubs to deliver a Major EV Charging Rollout

We’re excited to announce our new partnership with David Lloyd Leisure, the UK’s leading health and wellness group, to roll out one of the largest EV charging networks of its kind across their Clubs in the UK and Europe.

Through a major fully funded investment, Roam will be installing a mix of fast and rapid chargers to give David Lloyd members and guests the ability to power up their vehicles while they work out, swim or relax at their Club.

The first chargers are soon to be live at David Lloyd Purley, where we will be hosting a launch day on 22 September. Our team will be on-site to welcome drivers, answer questions and guide members through their first charging sessions.

David Lloyd members at Clubs with Roam chargers will also receive complimentary access to the Roam membership scheme, normally priced at £7.20 a month. This gives them access to an 8p / kWh discount of charging through the Roam app as well as preferential rates across our entire network.

This partnership supports David Lloyd Leisure’s wider sustainability journey. The Club has already invested heavily in energy-efficient technology and renewable energy generation, and is committed to achieving net zero by 2030.

With the Roam app, drivers can pay flexibly, track charging sessions in real time and monitor their carbon savings.
